Davit Isajanyan (head of public relations and communications) talks to activities of the NGO.

The "Naregatsi" Art Institute, incorporated in 2002, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving Armenia's existing cultural heritage through supporting Armenian contemporary artists and creating a forum in which the spirit of art and the common voice can resonate freely.

In a talk mapping the mission, activities, ongoing projects and publications of the Naregatsi Art Institute, the presenter will engage in a discussion on the current state and trends of the arts, artistic practices, art policies and management strategies in today’s Armenia. A self-funded independent art NGO, the Naregatsi Art Institute is a unique example of an art establishment that stands outside the conventional tensions that characterize the relations between NGOs and the state and/or between NGOs and donor institutions, and is yet involved actively in diverse collaborations on a number of levels.

A space carrying out all its activities free of charge for both artists and audiences, the Naregatsi Art Institute can be an ideal space of expression and collaborations for many artists in Armenia and around the world. With this vision, Mr. Isajanyan will also include a section in his presentation that outlines the prospects of future collaborations with international artists.
